Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction ( MBSR) is a group program which offers an opportunity to learn and integrate mindfulness meditation practice into our daily lives.

What it involves?

This is an eight weeks course that requires you to participate in 2.5 hrs./weekly class. In the class, you will learn/experiment with various mindfulness practices followed by discussion.

What do I learn?

The intention of this program is to allow and nurture experiential learning as best as possible. Some of the practices be would Formal” Mindfulness Meditation:  Body Scan Meditation, Body Movement Meditation, Sitting Meditation, Walking Meditation, etc.

Informal” Mindfulness Meditation (mindfulness in everyday life): Awareness of pleasant and unpleasant events, Awareness of breathing, Deliberate awareness of routine activities and events such as eating, weather, driving walking, awareness of interpersonal communications, etc.

Daily home practice including a minimum of 45 minutes per day of formal mindfulness practice and 5-15 minutes of informal practice, 6 days per week for the entire duration of the course

Research has shown that MBSR is useful for individual recovery from

Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Illness, Pain, Asthma, Skin Disorders, Headaches, Fatigue, Cancer, Eating Disturbances, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Psoriasis, Diabetes, etc.

Depression, Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD), Anxiety/Panic attacks, Sleep Problems, Gastro-intestinal (GI) Distress, Work, Family, and Financial Stress, Grief, emotional regulation, etc.

Who might not be suitable for this course?

Mindfulness is not a practice to fix immediate/Acute problems of life. It required gentle and regular practice that needs to be cultivated over a period of time. Hence, Individuals facing acute/immediate life challenges such as recent bereavement, physical health diagnosis, increased symptoms of mental health condition, etc.

How much it Cost?

This course will cost 250 per person. This course is limited to 14 participants. Your place will be secured after a deposit of 100 euros and subject to your suitability for this course/availability.
